$5,000 in total assets is the threshold to see your precise ranking rather than a general range. Below that threshold, Wealthsimple still compares your holdings to your age group starting at $500, just without the fine detail. Everything now lives in your profile, no longer in the old Stats Room.
Wealth rank shows how your assets at Wealthsimple compare to other clients in your age group. It appears under your savings summary, directly in your profile. The TFSA rank lives inside it as a filter: it compares your TFSA deposits to people born in the same year as you.
Portfolio Pulse works differently. You browse other clients' holdings, weightings, and performance anonymously, and in exchange your own holdings join that anonymous feed — which unlocks access to the community feed. You're assigned a random username, something like "Rally Raccoon," and it can't be changed.
Both features have moved out of the old Stats Room and into the profile section of the mobile app. The rollout is happening in phases, so not everyone sees the same thing at the same time yet.
| Feature | Threshold or condition |
|---|---|
| Age group comparison | $500 minimum in assets |
| Precise ranking (exact rank) | being in the top 1% |
| Detailed ranking unlocked | $5,000 in total assets at Wealthsimple |
| TFSA rank | filter based on birth year |
| Access to the Pulse community feed | agreeing to share your own holdings to the anonymous feed |
Recorded from the Wealthsimple help page. Thresholds can change without notice.
There's nothing specific to do if you already meet these criteria: Wealth rank and Pulse appear on their own in your profile, depending on which rollout phase you're in.
The Stats Room is gone: Wealthsimple has moved Wealth rank and Portfolio Pulse directly into the app's profile section. If you already have the update, both stats appear under your savings summary, in the shareable statistics section of your profile.
The profile also groups your client status and its perks — relevant if you're already at Premium or Generation status, since those tiers show interest rate bonuses and fee savings in the same place. For anyone comparing TFSAs, FHSAs, or ETFs held rather than social ranking, what the platform actually offers in ETFs gives a better angle than Portfolio Pulse.
Pulse snapshots update daily, with a delay of up to one day. So it isn't real-time, and a big market move might not show up yet for other clients at the moment you check.
No. The Portfolio Pulse username is random and isn't tied to your profile, so no one can identify you from your shared holdings. Wealth rank only shows a precise rank if you yourself are in the top 1%.
At least $500 in assets to enter a general comparison with your age group. To see the detailed ranking, you need $5,000 in total assets at Wealthsimple.
It's a filter inside the general Wealth rank that compares your TFSA deposits to other people born in the same year as you, not to your broader age group as a whole.
On the Wealth rank screen, scroll to the bottom and tap "Hide." For Portfolio Pulse, use the Information icon in the top right instead, then "Leave."
It no longer exists as a separate section. Wealth rank and Portfolio Pulse are now found directly in your profile, in the Wealthsimple mobile app, as the phased rollout continues.
